The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 15th September 2023

The children have made an excellent start to Year 5! We have been impressed with how well they have settled into new routines and how courteous they have been.  We have had an exciting week with our visit from Eat Greek.

KIRF - This half term our KIRF is to read and write numbers up to a million.  Below is a parent's guide to this KIRF.

Reading: Children should read for at least 20 minutes every day and record their reading activity in their Reading Journals.  Reading Journals and books should be brought into school every day.

Maths Challenge: Children should practise their allocated times tables on TT Rock Stars, for at least 30 minutes.  A battle between both Year 5 classes will take place each week. Our first battle starts today at 4pm and will finish on Thursday 21st September at 7pm. Let's show great teamwork by everyone taking part!

SPaG homework:

This week we have been recapping the correct use of the homophones 'your' and 'you're'. To consolidate their learning, children should complete the activity below.
