British Science Week

As part of British Science week, we are asking you to take part in an exciting poster competition with the theme of ‘change and adapt.’

For your homework, this week we would like you to create a poster demonstrating your understanding of the theme ‘Change and adapt.’

You could:

• Show how plants and animals adapt to changing seasons or surroundings.
• How humans have adapted to changing technology.
• Look at climate change and how we can adapt our behaviours to protect the environment.
• Favourite science experiment and how it shows change.

There are endless possibilities, these are just some of the examples of things that might show how things change and adapt.

The more creative the interpretation of the theme, the better!

Posters need to be completed and handed to your class teacher and passed on to Mrs Stevens (Science Lead) by Tuesday 25^th March 2025.

Winning posters from each year group will be entered into the British Science Week competition and displayed on the school’s website.

Posters will be judged on:

• Creativity in approach- do not be afraid to think outside the box.
• Content- clear, accurate and informative
• Effective communication- presented and communicated in an engaging way.

Please ensure that you clearly write your name and year group on the back of your poster.
