The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 10th May

Happy Friday!

Homework guidance:

Reading -  All children are expected to read for 20 minutes a day and note their reading in their reading journals. For example,

13.05.24 The Firework Maker's Daughter - read to page 42. I've loved finding out about Lila's plan to become a firework maker.

Paper homework - Details of the paper homework are set out below. Children have wowed us this week by applying their knowledge of the Atacama Desert to their own text map about the Amazon Rainforest. We would like children to write sentences about the Amazon Rainforest using fronted adverbials, generalisers and formal language as practise for their writing next week.

Maths - Both Year 5 classes have won their battle of the bands this week. Hooray! Unfortunately, there are still many pupils not logging into TTRS. It is a great resource to use to keep your child's time tables knowledge ticking over. It improves fluency and confidence. All children should be using this to complete 10 minutes of garage per week.

Have a lovely weekend.
