The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 3rd May 2024

This week, children have written and edited their imitation version of a non-chronological report about deserts. They have learnt about how plants reproduce in science and compared the beliefs of Maya and Vikings in history.  In Maths we have moved on from angles to coordinates.

Reading: Children should read for at least 20 minutes every day, and must record their reading activity in their reading journals.  Both reading books and journals should be brought into school every day.

Maths Challenge: Children should be spending at least 10 minutes a week practising their allocated times tables on TTRock Stars.  Last week both classes had 18 children who completed this part of their homework, which although up on the previous week's numbers, still means 24 children didn't practice their times tables.

Maths homework: To consolidate their knowledge of angles, children should complete at least one of the tasks below.
