Focus Activity - Phonics
During the morning briefing the children will flick through the previously taught digraphs, trigraphs and tricky words. During the meeting the children learnt the new tricky word ‘here’. Follow the link below to learn the action. Make sure you’re using the sign the lady below is signing.
Today we would like you to play the game stations using the tricky words 'here' 'where' 'your' 'door' 'floor'. To be able to play the game the children will need to write the words using their flower mat below and place the words around a room. An adult then needs to say a sentence with one of the tricky words in and the child then needs to go and stand at that station and show them the action. For example you could say "Where is the kitchen?" you would then expect the child to stand at the station 'where'.
