Focus Activity
In our last week at school, we were going to make junk modelling and Modroc lighthouses. You may wish to still do this at home in any way you like. We have added craft ideas to give you inspiration.
Phonics
In the morning briefing, the children will flick through the sounds already taught, including tricky words.
The children have learned a new game called 'Guess the rule'. The first image they have seen before, and know the rule. We have added it to refresh their memory.
Image 1 - Add the suffix (-er, -est, -ing, -ed, -s, -es) when the root word doesn't change.
Image 2 - All of the words contain split digraphs.
Image 3 - The grapheme ay is usually at the end of the word. Extension task - Can you think of an exception to the rule?
