The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Friday 1st December

This week children have been designing the interior of an ancient Greek house in 3D. They will use this design next week to create the room on Tinkercad software.  In Maths we have finished our block on fractions and have moved on to multiplication and division. Children have been learning how to multiply a 2 digit number by a 2 digit number and a 2 digit number by a 3 digit number.  In writing children have been practising writing complex sentences that include a subordinate or relative clause and compound sentences that include a coordinating conjunction.  For homework this week children should consolidate their learning by writing sentences that include coordinating conjunctions.

Reading: Children should read for at least 20 minutes each day and record their reading activity in their reading journals.  Reading journals and books should be brought into school every day.

Maths Challenge: Children should practise their allocated times tables on TTRock stars for at least 30 minutes.  This will help them when they are multiplying 3 and 2 digit numbers by a 2 digit number.  Congratulations to Mrs Tilley's class for their fourth consecutive win this week!

There will be another battle starting on Friday 1st December at 4pm.
