Homework this week is focussed on number bonds to support children with learning our new KIRF (Key Instant Recall Facts).
This terms KIRF is 'To recall addition and subtraction facts for numbers within 20 and use related facts to 100'.
The new KIRF parent guide has been updated at the bottom of this page. Please take a look for some helpful strategies of ways you can support your chid at home.
To further support the learning of this KIRF we will be completing a weekly number bond challenge on Fridays. We will start with number bonds to 10 and 20, then as children become more confident we will move on to number bonds to 100.
Please could you practise these facts regularly at home so that your child knows these instantly. It really makes such a big difference having these number facts rooted well in their knowledge.
