Number Magic

Here is your number magic for today. Remember to use the answers to self-mark.

Maths

Today you are going to be continuing your work on calculating percentages of amounts, using both methods which you have been shown. Following our live lesson, you can complete the tasks below.

Reading

Today we are doing line by line of the second diary entry. Watch the video below, pausing it at the appropriate points and thinking of your own responses.

Theme 1

Following our input around planning your diary entries, you are going to plan your own diary entry in role as your character from 1939 using the planning format below.  Think about what your character might have been doing before Neville Chamberlain’s speech, how they might have felt once they heard it and what they might have done afterwards. Remember to try and think of different ways you can show this is set in the past, by adding in a few pieces of historical vocabulary.

Theme 2

In preparation for the artwork we are going to be doing over the next few weeks, you are going to explore feelings and create a page in your sketchbook/on a plain piece of paper to represent this. Watch the inputs below (it's recorded in two parts - sorry!) and then read through the task carefully before getting started.

SPAG

We are continuing our work around conjunctions to help us structure our sentences well. Watch the video input and then complete the Combine It activity.
