Week Five

Hello Year 5,

We hope you have had a good week and you and your families are safe and well. We also hope you’ve been able to access and complete as much of the work as possible, remember don’t worry if you are finding things tricky just try your best.

All the Year 5 staff have been missing you so much and cannot wait to see you again soon. Both Mr Mason and Miss Harris have again really enjoyed catching up with you over the phone this week and have been so proud to hear how well you have been getting on.

We have all been really busy this week:

Mr Mason has again been trying out new science experiments, running and has finally won his first virtual quiz (with some help)!

Miss Harris has been doing some yoga, lots of walking with Reggie and has continued to teach him some new tricks.

Mrs Evans has been taking Lola out on long walks, learning the guitar, doing some gardening and has managed to do some plumbing around the house.

Mrs Phillips has been practicing her footballing skills with her two boys, cleaning her house and has even had a live DJ set from (her son) in her back garden.

Mrs McCluskey is now a proud owner of a hot tub and is eagerly getting her garden ready for its arrival.

Miss Morris has renovated her garden and has now taken to calling herself Charlie Dimmock (ask your parents).

If you are looking for extra things to do over this period make sure you look at the ‘Useful Websites’ page. You could also try and complete the Joe Wicks workouts that come out every day on his Youtube channel (Body Coach TV). This week we have also attached an invisible ink experiment for you to try at home. All you need is: a lemon, a cotton bud, a piece of paper and bit of adult supervision.

Additionally, you can have a look at our teacher Twitter Pages (@MrMasonTeacher) to see some of the things we have been posting.

The work for this week has been uploaded in the relevant sections below.

We are all missing you so much and can’t wait to see you all soon!
