This week Year 2, we will be recapping fractions! Each day you will have a different fraction to work on. Remember, just like we do at school, to show your working out and share the number into equal groups. The bottom number of the fraction (called the denominator) is the number of groups you need to share your number in to. The top number of the fraction (called the numerator) is the number of groups you need to count to find your answer.
There are a selection of games that you can play throughout the week to consolidate your learning.
Your practical task this week involves making fractions with objects that you have at home. Happy sharing!
This clip gives you a brief introduction to fractions.
