Week Four

Hello Year 5,

We hope you have had a good week and you and your families are safe and well. We also hope you’ve been able to access and complete as much of the work as possible, remember don’t worry if you are finding things tricky just try your best.

All the Year 5 staff have been missing you so much and cannot wait to see you again soon. Both Mr Mason and Miss Harris have really enjoyed catching up with you on the phone and look forward to speaking to the rest of you next week. Each of us also wanted to let you know what we’ve been up to recently.

Mr Mason has been trying out new science experiments, painting and has had a rather questionable haircut that he cannot wait to get sorted out.

Miss Harris has taught Reggie to high five (with both paws), baking banana bread and has even redecorated her bathroom.

Mrs Evans has been taking Lola out on long walks, tidying up after Lola and gone on bike rides with her sons.

Mrs Phillips has been dancing and has even stared in Mrs Grindrod’s Twitter video and has done lots of gardening.

Mrs McCluskey has been spending time in the kitchen trying out new recipes and has now become a top-notch pizza chef!

If you are looking for extra things to do over this period make sure you look at the ‘Useful Websites’ page. You could also try and complete the Joe Wickes workouts that come out every day on his Youtube channel. You may remember that in Guided Reading we looked at the Density Tower experiment, below we have attached the instructions to the experiment and our own attempt at creating it. Can you make one with more defined layers?

Additionally, you can have a look at our teacher Twitter Pages (@MrMasonTeacher) to see some of the things we have been posting.

The work for this week has been uploaded in the relevant sections below.

We are all missing you so much and can’t wait to see you all soon!

Mr Mason, Miss Harris, Mrs Evans, Mrs Phillips, Mrs McCluskey and Miss Morris J
