The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

Writing

In school for the last couple of weeks, we have been exploring spies and gadgets and last week, the children in school designed their own spy gadget. Your creative activity for this week will give you all the opportunity to design your own gadget – see the document below for all the details and some examples. Then, whether you have been learning at home or in school, you can all have a go at making the gadget which you have designed using any resources you can find – cardboard tubes, cereal boxes, milk bottle lids etc.

For your writing task you are then going to plan and write an explanation text which explains exactly how your gadget works. There is an example to help you out, so have a careful read of that, along with the success criteria and then tell us all about your amazing gadget.
