Homework due Wednesday 27th September.
KIRF
Remember to keep practising the KIRF from last week, you need to be fluent in this skill by October Half term.
Features of an instruction text
This week we have been learning about the features that are found in an instruction text. These features include a title, introductory paragraph, adverbs (words that describe how a verb is being done such as run quickly, stir vigorously) or when the verb is being done (First, add the sugar, Next, stir in the butter) and time conjunctions (words that join two ideas or phrases together - e.g. Before you add the sugar, weigh out the butter).
For homework this week we would like you to identify these features in the instruction text below. You can print this off and highlight them in different colours or make a list of the adverbs and time conjunctions in your homework book.
Challenge: can you identify any nouns (objects, person, place thing or idea) and adjectives (words that describe the noun)?
