Week Five

Hello Year 2!

We hope that you’ve had a good week and that you and your families are safe and well. Hopefully you enjoyed last week’s home learning. Thank you to those of you who have used Twitter to share what you’ve been getting up to; we’ve loved seeing some of the fantastic work you’ve done! If you want to share any of your work or anything else that you get up to, tweet us @LyppardSchool.

Mrs Tilley and Miss Bevand really enjoyed chatting with some of you last week and hearing about all that you’ve been up to! We will be making more phone calls in the coming weeks so please don’t worry if you haven’t heard from us yet. We’re looking forward to having a chat with all of you!

All of the Year 2 staff have been keeping busy this week. Mrs Carrier and Mrs Baldwin have been gardening again, Mrs Tilley has been enjoying reading new books, Miss Bevand has been learning to solve cryptic crosswords and Miss Davis has been solving Sudoku puzzles! However, whilst we were all keeping busy, something very strange happened! We all saw some very odd insects! Have a look at what each member of staff saw…

If you are curious about these unusual insects, be sure to have a look at writing task 1 this week! Who knows, maybe you will spot a rare insect too!

As always, remember to just try your best with your home learning and don’t worry if you don’t do all of it. The most important thing is that you keep smiling and keep looking after each other. We are missing you so much and thinking of you lots.

Miss Bevand, Mrs Tilley, Mrs Carrier, Mrs Baldwin and Miss Davis xxx
