A Spectacular Parade!

You really did celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday in style! A huge variety of hats were worn with pride on Tuesday, showcasing the superb imagination and creativity we have within our Lyppard Grange community. From Fantastic Mr Fox to The Enormous Crocodile, and The Witches to The Twits, Roald Dahl titles surrounded us in artistic form but it was definitely Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that had inspired the most designs with sweets cladding hats from room to room! Reverend Diane led both of our assemblies linking the theme of decisions to those made by the golden ticket holders visiting Willy Wonka’s factory.

We took lots of photos on the day but would love to display some of your hats in our school library. If you still have yours at home and would be willing to lend it to us for a while please send it back into school via your child’s class teacher. Thank you! In the meantime a selection of photos from the day can be seen on page 2 of our electronic newsletter dated week commencing 19th September (edition 2).
