The Big Sing - after the event
No sooner did the Y3/4 children return from their half term break than off they travelled by coach to Worcester Arena to participate in ‘The Big Sing’ event alongside 1,000 other children, all from local primary schools. It was a fun-packed hour and a half lead by Ula Weber, a renowned singing leader, accompanied by a live band. Not only did the children perform and perfect the songs they had been learning at school to sing as a mass choir, they also took part in a large number of fun singing games involving funny dances whilst teaching them how to alter the tempo and pitch of their voice. A group of ‘Very Important People’ then arrived to hear the children perform ‘Sing’ in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday. It was a super morning which was lots of fun but at the same time taught the children a lot about singing.
