The Lyppard Grange Primary School Empowering children to be secure, engaged and equipped for life.

What an opening!

A huge well done to all of our Y6 pupils (and their band of willing helpers) for organising and hosting a terrific opening event to celebrate the completion and occupation of their new block. It was really well attended and fun was had by all. Children went home carrying new cuddly friends won on the teddy tombola and adults nurtured bottles gained on their adult only version. Burgers sold out, quickly followed by hot dogs, but warm fruit punch and hot chocolate decked with cream and marshmallows kept the cold abay whilst the spectacular fireworks filled the air. But by far the biggest attraction was the new block. The queue for tours, led by our very keen and informative team of tour guides from Y5/6, was by far the longest of the night, as you streamed in your multitudes to get a closer look at the long awaited new building. There are three people, in addition to the children, parents and staff, who need a particular mention for taking on the organisation of this event— Claire Vickers, Lou Norwood and Nikki Embley have given hours of their own time, working both with and alongside the children, to ensure the event was well prepared, safe and enjoyable. A MASSIVE THANK YOU!!!
